I’m working on the outline for Treasure on the Trial as well as the rough draft for some of the scenes I already know I’m going to write. The Daphne book, RUSTY’s Memories, is almost complete and will be published soon (under my author name, Frank DeCaire). This means that starting this week, I’ll be working on the next four Q mysteries full-time.
The progress bar on the right (if you’re on a PC or iPad, and at the bottom if you’re on a phone) will show my progress on the current book I’m working on (Treasure on the Trail). If you’re unfamiliar with my process, I usually hammer out the rough draft, using the progress meter to show how much is completed. Then, I switch the progress meter to show how much of the story has been edited. Finally, there is a Read-Out-Loud phase where my wife and I take turns reading chapters of the book and identifying grammar problems as well as plot holes and other story problems. Then, I usually spend a day or two fixing problems before hitting the publish button.
So, get your fireplace going, grab your favorite drink, and grab the first book of the series because this is happening.
