I just hit the publish button for A Trail of Clues (both eBook and Paperback editions). It might be some time before it shows up on Amazon’s website. My experience is that a book will take an hour on most occasions, but sometimes it won’t publish until the next day.
I also changed the progress indicator on the right (if you’re on a PC or iPad) or bottom (if you’re on a cell phone). The next story, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts is called Treasure on the Trail. I am currently working on a Daphne Book called RUSTY’s Memories, so the rest of November will be dedicated to finishing that one. Once Daphne is wrapped up, I’ll be fully dedicated to the Q Mysteries until I reach book 5.
Here’s a sample of the cover for Treasure on the Trail (book 2):
Once I start working on the second book, I’ll put together my story ideas for the next two or three books. Then I’ll order the covers while I’m working on book 2. By then I’ll have all the titles and the blurbs. Right now, I have two titles, but no blurbs. Book 3 will be Murder at Outlaw Cabin and book 4 will be Ghost Falls Killings. At least, those are the titles. They’ll become set in stone when I order the covers.
There is a place on Jacob’s Ladder trail called Outlaw Cabin, and that will be the location of at least one murder in book 3. Ghost Falls is located in Corner Canyon near the Valley. I put down some story ideas for those two, but I haven’t fleshed out the details yet.
Oh, and for book 2, the Utah Treasure hunt is a thing here. I’ll be making up a pretend treasure hunt, but it’ll be in the same vein as the actual treasure hunts, they hold every year.
So, keep your eyes peeled… Ha, I just checked, and the eBook status has updated to “PUBLISHING.” You should see it in the next hour or so.
